Hexalumina

An Experiential Solar-Powered Public Artwork

Hexalumina is a permanent public artwork commissioned for the City of Dallas Art collection and installed at the Singing Hills Recreation Center. This sculptural solar canopy integrates art, technology, and community into a single, uplifting experience.

During the day, Hexalumina collects energy from the sun using organic photovoltaic cells integrated into its intelligent hexagonal skin, and at night it illuminates with clean energy. Hexalumina is a living autonomous organism inspired by trees and living systems, celebrating the energy of the sun in all senses.
